FAQ

1. Is this a job fair or recruiting event?

No. Japan Horizons is a career discovery event, not a recruiting fair. The primary goal of the event is to help students:

• Learn about Japanese companies

• Explore career paths related to Japan

• Hear professionals share their experiences

• Reflect on their own career goals

However, participating organizations may share information about internships, employment opportunities or their recruiting processes. Students are welcome to bring resumes, but networking and career exploration are the primary focus of the event.

2. How much does it cost to attend?

Nothing. Participation is completely FREE.

3. Is lunch provided?

Yes! Complimentary lunch will be provided for all participants. We plan to offer a variety of meal options, including vegetarian choices. If you have specific dietary restrictions or food allergies, we recommend bringing your own meal to ensure your needs are met.

4. What should I wear?

The recommended dress code is semi-professional attire. When in doubt, dress as you would for a networking event or professional presentation.

• Business casual is encouraged

• Sneakers are acceptable, but no sandals

• A tie is not required

5. What should I bring?

• A smartphone with Internet access (required for check-in)

No. Students of all backgrounds, majors, and language levels are welcome. All sessions will be conducted in English.

7. I am not enrolled, can I still register?

Yes, if you have graduated recently and are interested in possible career opportunities at Japanese companies you are welcome to register. Please note that this is not a traditional career fair event.
