About this event

Serious work deserves some serious fun. Balance the mission-driven nature of nonprofit work with the importance of relationships, well-being, and power of “yes and…”

Dane County nonprofit professionals spend their days doing meaningful work for others. Here’s an opportunity to do something for yourselves: connect, recharge, learn, play and laugh together.

Join Monkey Business Institute, Madison’s Favorite Improv Comedy group, for a 90-minute Playshop , our seriously fun spin on professional development. Through accessible improv activities, participants will explore skills nonprofit professionals use every day: listening, communication, collaboration, creativity, adaptability and thinking on your feet.

And don’t worry, you don’t need to be an improviser or “the funny one” in the office! Our Playshops are designed to be supportive, collaborative and genuinely fun.

After the Playshop, stick around to connect with fellow nonprofit professionals, mix and mingle with MBI’s improvisors, and enjoy a 60-minute live improv show featuring some of our most experienced performers.

Because people doing important work deserve an afternoon that feels a little less like work. Refreshments will be provided.
